Bioengineering Day

Let’s Talk Science is excited to invite you to our third annual Bioengineering Day! Bioengineering Day will be hosted in collaboration with the Biomedical Engineering Student Association at the University of Toronto and held on June 2, 2023 from 1-3:30pm (ET) virtually via Zoom. Topics will cater to grade 10-12 students and will cover cutting edge topics on bioengineering such as Lab-on-a-chip, organ-on-a-chip, organoids, stem cells and CRISPR. The 2.5 hour event will be filled with interesting talks and a trivia game with prizes to end the day!

Format: Zoom Webinar

Time: Friday June 2nd from 1:00PM to 3:30PM (ET)

Open to: Grade 10, 11 and 12 students across Canada

Registration: Please register here by May 26th 2023

and also email Jennifer Kieda at jennifer.kieda@mail.utoronto.ca, with the expected number of attending students. Attendence will be confirmed via return email.

 

Event Agenda:

The event will consist of a series of 10 minute talks. Each talk will be followed by 5 minutes of quiz questions and any participant questions. At the end there will also be a larger trivia quiz.
